“These guys are incredible. If you are into the sort of uptempo, groovytype blues/jazz/samba stuff, this is definately for you. This abum is definately a must have. The musical ability of these guys is astounding. John Damberg and Laura Koenig are both professors of music at the University of Alaska Anchorage. (John teaches marimba and percussion, Laura teaches flute). They have another older album titled Angie’s Samba, before they changed their name from the John Dambrg Latin Jazz Quintet to JoMaLa, which is also available on iTunes.
