Feast your senses on the enchanting Brazilian and Afro-Cuban melodies of the John Damberg Latin Jazz Quintet. This concert will feature new compositions by noted Alaska composers John Damberg and Mark Manners and rarely performed music of Brazilian & Afro Cuban Latin Jazz giants Jovino Santos Neto, Andy Narell, & the Caribbean Jazz Project.
The John Damberg Latin Jazz Quintet strives to present fresh, new musical landscapes featuring the unique blend of marimba, steel drum, & vibes & the classical guitar jamming over exotic World Beat rhythmic grooves provided by the energetic rhythm section composed of Latin percussion, drum set, and bass.
